Looking for an awesome internship? Terminal Velocity Aerospace (TVA) is in need of interns who are seeking experience in the aerospace industry. TVA is as subsidiary company of SpaceWorks Enterprises, Inc., located in Atlanta, GA. Interns at TVA work closely with staff members of SpaceWorks and are offered a look into what it is like to work in the aerospace field.

 

This position will focus on the design, production, and testing of Thermal Protection Systems for spacecraft reentering the atmosphere. Candidates should be pursuing an undergraduate or a graduate degree in Material Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related technical field.

 

A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is required.

 

The position will include material design work as well as hands-on work in the TVA lab using vacuum molds, inert gas ovens, vacuum chambers and other equipment to produce sample materials. Experience with polymers and composites, heat transfer, and programming is also encouraged.
